OKX Wallet
This project is a UI/UX redesign concept of the OKX wallet experience, created as a personal practice project to improve my product design skills in the Web3 and fintech space. The goal was to reimagine how a complex crypto wallet interface can be simplified to create a more intuitive, beginner-friendly, and visually structured experience. The focus of the redesign was to reduce visual clutter, improve information hierarchy, and make core wallet actions like sending, receiving, and swapping assets easier to access and understand. By studying existing Web3 wallet interfaces, I explored how better layout structure and clearer visual emphasis can significantly improve usability and user confidence when interacting with financial tools.

Project Overview
This project is a redesign concept of the OKX Wallet experience, created as a practice project to improve my UI/UX skills in designing modern crypto/web3 interfaces. The goal was to explore how a complex fintech product can be made more intuitive, visually clear, and user-focused while maintaining trust and professionalism.
Background
OKX is a major platform in the crypto and Web3 space, offering trading, wallet, and decentralized finance tools. While the product is powerful and feature-rich, the existing interface can feel overwhelming for new or non-technical users due to dense information and complex navigation.
This redesign was focused on simplifying the experience and improving clarity for everyday users interacting with a crypto wallet interface.
Problem Statement
The original wallet interface had challenges such as:
Overloaded UI with too many features visible at once
Weak visual hierarchy, making important actions harder to find
Complex navigation paths for simple tasks
Lack of clear onboarding guidance for new users
Limited emphasis on key user actions (send, receive, swap)
Project Goals
The main goals of the redesign were:
Improve clarity and reduce cognitive load
Create a stronger visual hierarchy
Make core wallet actions easier and faster to access
Improve onboarding and first-time user understanding
Design a cleaner, more modern Web3 interface
Research & Discovery
I reviewed existing crypto wallet interfaces and analyzed similar Web3 platforms to understand common UX patterns and pain points.
Key insights included:
Users prioritize speed and clarity over feature density
First-time users need immediate understanding of wallet functions
Clear separation between primary actions (send/receive) and secondary features improves usability
Trust and simplicity are critical in financial interfaces
UX Strategy
Introduced a cleaner hero/dashboard structure
Prioritized primary actions (Send, Receive, Swap)
Reduced unnecessary UI noise
Created clearer navigation grouping for wallet features
Improved onboarding flow clarity for new users
Design Process
Restructured the dashboard layout for better hierarchy
Simplified content grouping into logical sections
Enhanced spacing and typography for readability
Focused on making primary actions visually dominant
Applied consistent UI patterns across screens
Final Solution
A simplified and structured wallet dashboard
Clear visibility of core actions (Send, Receive, Swap)
Improved navigation with better grouping of features
Stronger visual hierarchy for balance, assets, and activity
Clean, modern interface aligned with Web3 design standards
Outcome
More intuitive user flow for key wallet actions
Reduced visual clutter and improved focus
Clearer understanding of wallet functionality at first glance
Stronger emphasis on usability and accessibility
Learnings
This project reinforced that in fintech and Web3 design, simplicity builds trust. Even powerful systems must feel easy to use. Clear hierarchy, focused actions, and minimal UI noise are essential for helping users feel confident when interacting with financial products.
